About your team and your mission
As GitGuardian scales in a competitive and highly technical market, content plays a critical role in how we educate audiences, build authority, shape category conversations, and support growth.
You will join a close-knit content team within the Marketing department, reporting directly to the Brand and Content Director. In this role, you will help raise the bar for GitGuardian’s content by turning complex technical ideas into clear, compelling stories for developer, security, and business audiences.
We are looking for an exceptional writer who understands marketing strategy and knows how to create content that is useful, credible, and engaging. You should be comfortable writing about technical concepts, collaborating with subject matter experts, and shaping content for different audiences, stages of the buyer journey, and search intents.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Write and edit high-quality content across formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, guides, PR bylines, and web copy
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content for developers, security leaders, and other technical or business stakeholders
Develop strong narratives that connect audience pain points, market trends, GitGuardian’s expertise, and the buyer journey
Apply content marketing best practices around audience, intent, funnel stage, SEO/AEO, readability, and conversion without sacrificing editorial quality
Partner with internal subject matter experts across product, security, developer relations, sales, and marketing to source insights and turn them into compelling content
Manage and maintain the content calendar, ensuring consistent delivery across key formats, campaigns, and strategic priorities
Support the evolution of GitGuardian’s SEO/AEO approach by identifying content opportunities, optimizing new and existing content, and staying aware of changes in search and LLM-powered discovery
Use tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Scrunch, Google Analytics, and HubSpot to evaluate content performance and inform recommendations
Manage relationships with external authors, guest writers, freelancers, and content partners; actively source new contributors when needed
Support the demand generation team with campaign content, landing page copy, email copy, and other assets as needed
Provide occasional copywriting support to other teams across the organization
Brainstorm and pitch new topic ideas for thought leadership, media coverage, PR opportunities, and owned content programs
About you
If you think you match at least 70% of these criteria, please apply!
Here's what we consider essential for success in this role:
3+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial content, or writing for B2B SaaS, technology, cybersecurity, developer tools, or another technical industry
Exceptional writing and editing skills in English, with a strong editorial voice and the ability to make complex topics clear, credible, and engaging
Proven experience producing high-quality long-form content
Strong understanding of content marketing fundamentals, including audience needs, buyer journey, content intent, messaging, distribution, and performance
Working knowledge of SEO best practices and an understanding of how search intent, structure, keywords, internal linking, and content quality influence organic performance
Awareness of how LLM-powered search and answer engines are changing content discovery, with an interest in applying those learnings pragmatically
Comfort collaborating with technical subject matter experts and turning their input into polished, reader-friendly content
Experience managing a content calendar and coordinating with internal stakeholders, freelancers, agencies, or external contributors
Comfort using data to evaluate content performance and guide decisions; hands-on experience with tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or HubSpot is a plus
Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
